Bend-Insensitive Fibre

Bend-Insensitive or Premier Flex fibre is designed to minimise light loss in fibre optic cables that can occur during installation. Tight bends within cabinets and cable trays, no longer are the source of annoying light losses that are often difficult to find, making installation much easier.

We are now making all of our OM3 and OM4 cables using a new robust 850nm laser-optimized 50/125 Bend-Insensitive multimode fibre. These fibres provide outstanding bending performance for improved fibre management and high bandwidth for 10G - 40G - 100G system requirements. OM3 and OM4 multimode fibres are more easily installed in Networks up to distances of 550m for 10G speeds and 150m for future 40G/100G speeds.
